Objects in a Room

This is a study on personal belongings and memory. Art, plants, and other miscellaneous items have a way of characterizing a room more than the material or the shape of four walls ever could.

Matisse's red studio painting influenced this style of perspective. The use of red paint limits the perception of depth, allowing personal objects to define the room as opposed to generic Ikea furniture pieces.

The plans draw on the memory of a private space used by two different people, 5 years apart. The operations of a room between the two are remembered by the placement of furniture and the objects that lay on its surfaces.
